Scope
This course is designed to meet the standards set in IMO MSC-FAL.1/Circ.3, IMO Resolution MSC.428(98), BIMCO's Guidelines on Cyber Security Onboard Ships, and all other regional, industry, and non-governmental guidelines.
Objective
Those who successfully complete this course should be able to identify cyber security threats, implement best practices, and adequately manage cyber security incident response.
Course Content
- Regulations and guidelines
- Vulnerability assessment, protection and prevention, cyber incident detection and response
- Maritime cyber security familiarization, training and case studies covering real life scenarios
- Maritime Cyber Security Scenario (simulator): the simulator replicates real-world maritime systems and equipment, ensuring an authentic training environment and it has the ability to put participants in the roles of both defender and attacker
