Living Lab
What does Living Lab do?

How big is our school's ecological footprint? And what can we do to reduce it?
A school building is usually large in volume. Therefore, it can offer many students an education at the same time. Students are taught there in heated or cooled classrooms. They can also study in the library in peace and quiet. A school building therefore offers high learning comfort. That learning comfort requires a powerful heating system, good Internet, electricity (for lighting and computers) and water (toilets and showers). Students and teachers also all need to get to and from the school. That transportation also requires a lot of energy and contributes to the school's carbon footprint. The question we ask is how big this carbon footprint is and what we can do to reduce it.
